Lake Pointe Medical Center to open Emergency Department in Forney by the end of 2012

The Forney EDC's quarterly breakfast meeting was hosted by Crumbzz Tasting Pavillion and held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. The meeting centered around the new Lake Pointe Medical Center that will be part of Phase Two of the Forney Medical Plaza off Highway 80 near FM 548. Updates were given about the new Emergency Department that will be built and ready to open by the end of this year.

She realized that Forney and surrounding cities were missing out on the wedding and event planning industry and decided that the best way to rectify that was to introduce her company, Renee's Eventi, to Forney by holding a boutique event show in town.

Wounded combat veteran presented with free home in Forney's Diamond Creek subdivision

Forney resident, Army Sergeant Kevin Bowden, sustained a traumatic brain injury in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq back in April of 2008. At the time he sustained his injury, his only concern was to survive and make it back home to his family. Since that time there have many struggles for Sgt. Bowden, but thanks to Bank of America and the Military Warriors Support Foundation, Bowden and his family have one less worry. They have a home.
